SouthPark is also the home of the new amphitheater which hosts Charlotte Symphony’s Summer Pops concerts, a popular evening event that are free to attendees.  SouthPark also features their signature event, the annual Christmas tree lighting, which takes place on Thanksgiving Day in the early evening and features caroling and a visit from Santa himself.  SouthPark is the home to several Fortune 500 companies such as NucorNational GypsumCoca-Cola Bottling Company, Consolidated, Piedmont Natural Gas and J.A. Jones Construction Company.  MaerskBank of America MortgageFirst Citizens Bank, and CSX have major divisional operations located in SouthPark as well.
