Jay M. Robinson Middle School has over 1,000 students for the 2007-08 school year, and has had five very successful years. Surveys suggest that our community is happy, and testing outcomes, as they become available, have shown great success academically. This has been possible because we have enjoyed the help and support of parents and community, an excellent faculty and staff, and a remarkable student body. Located on Pineville-Matthews Road in the Southeastern part of Charlotte NC, Providence High School, built in 1989, has become one of Charlotte's premier high schools. Included in Newsweek's Top 100 High Schools in America, this prestigious high school has been an award-winning school nearly from its inception.
Providence High School offers a disciplined course of study with multiple levels of learning opportunities for its students and one of Charlotte's most rigorous Advanced Placement and Honors courses. Nearly 98 % of all Providence students enrolled in AP courses, and over 80% of those students receive college credit for those courses. SAT scores are also high with the average score of Providence students is 1151, while the national average is 1016 and the state average is 1006.
