A couple of weeks ago, Bank of America hosted the Bank of America 500 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. The day was dedicated to Dale Earnhardt, Jr. who was running his final race on his 'home track.' Attending the festivities with suite tickets, we had the best seats in the house - we could see everything and it was a perfectly beautiful day to attend a race.
Neither Ray nor any of our team that attended with us had ever attended a NASCAR race. So, visiting Pit Row, seeing some of the drivers and their crews and being catered to the entire day in the suite, was surely the perfect way to spoil them all on their first visit to the tracks!
This photo is an entry in Dick Greenberg's October Photo Contest in the category of REAL LIFE: Best use of filter or special effect. I color-focused the photo and then intensified the HDR in the photo that was originally shot in HDR. Of course, I had to include this shot with the Carolina Panthers game playing on the flat screen in the sky-box while the race was being run! Oh, and the Panthers won, making it a perfect day!
