Charlotte NC Chantilly Market Report, April 14, 2009
Chantilly, one of Charlotte's favorite historic districts, is tucked quietly between Elizabeth and Plaza Midwood. Chantilly is located in the shadows of the Uptown Charlotte North Carolina real estate community. The neighborhood features beautiful, narrow streets with charming cottages and a warm, neighborhood feel. Comparable to the quaint Elizabeth and Dilworth with its craftsman style bungalows, Chantilly's historic development also boasts tree-lined streets and affordable cottage-style residences surrounded by expansive, stately homes.

Chantilly has always been a highly sought-after neighborhood. Even in this climate, those shopping for real estate that want to be in the Uptown area and be in an affordable community, choose Chantilly. The most recent market analysis shows sales in Chantilly slowed a bit over the past three months but, days on the market dropped and sales prices increased a small percentage.

Hello Dahling-Long time no chat. Hope you and Ray have been doing well. Did you have a nice Easter? I'm doing well just busy. Business is picking up so I've been running like a jackrabbit. I've missed you though and my other AR friends. Seems like I don't have time other than to post and run. Taking a few minutes to say hi to some of my favs. Take care of yourself my friend. I hope business is good for you as well. Your posts are still power packed with great info as well. I love the S.S. rose. Gorgeous. Have a great week. :-)
Wow....you ROCKED this Market Report! I need to learn how to make 'em this cool! (I think I've been afraid to do one because I know what it will tell me......)
The vegetable garden talk is starting up again...even got a phone call from them again today! Come on Buyers, I need some vegetables!
I LOVE THIS MARKET REPORT!!!
Hey PattyP! I miss you too but, I'm happy with you checking in and telling me that you're busy--the same with me and I feel guilty not responding to everyone's comment all the time! I post and dash too often these days! Glad you're well and hope your Easter was bright and beautiful.
THOM! You crazy guy--thank you so much! Okay, you have to tell me what you're talking about--vegetable garden talk?? If you need vegies, plant you a little patio garden--you'll be surprised at what comes out of some large pots on your patio--I had one that produced TONS of squash and another two types of peppers and tomatoes, of course, all in 4 large (1-foot) pots with regular watering, it doesn't take up much space and produces GREAT results! BEST of luck!
Thanks Renee! I learned from THE best--notice I've STILL not mastered your awesome graphs--one of these days...
Good morning Ma'am,
You always do a very nice market update. I am going to have to call you and get some hints on improving mine.
Debe, Excellent market report. I especially like how you highlighted the average sale prices and average DOM. Great job!
Hi Don, Well, thank you so much! Hey, add a little history, a nice photo, a couple of links and your graph and you're done!! Hope you have an awesome day!
Hi Barb! Thanks so much! Those figures seem to be the most important factors to the sellers (and the buyers too) and sometimes looking at graphs is a bit confusing without a highlight or two!
Have a GREAT day!
Debe,
I continue to be impressed by the content, and organization of your blog. Very impressive. Thanks.
Debe - Based on your "days on the market" numbers, you are experiencing the same thing we are here in Sacramento. The smaller homes (especially those priced well), are selling quite quickly.
Thanks Wayne! I try to make it appealing to both readers who like pictures, like history and readers who love the math! It's a constant work-in-progress though!
Myrl: Exactly! We're seeing alot of first-time homebuyer movement right now, which seems to be having a bit of a snowball effect--upwards! THANK goodness! We have a way to go but, it is nice to see more movement, that's for sure!
Hi Debe -- What a fantastic market report. You really know this market. You communicate so clearly and understandably -- a rare thing in the real estate field!
Hi Chris! Thanks so much--yes, I do--after 25 years here, I should know it forwards and backwards! Have a great weekend...
