Hi Debe! - What a wonderful way to get a taste of history by touring these historic mansions in Myers Park. Just my cup of tea with my love for history.
Debe,
Don't forget your camera for the many pics so we can see some of the homes.
Super cool Localism blog Debe! Great ideas you give me....
HI Donna! I KNEW you'd like this one!
Hi Don! I am SOO bummed that I can't attend but, someone is going in my place! I have TWO listing appointments Thursday evening!
Hi Greg! Well, thank you! It's the quickest, easiest post I think I've ever written!
Debe, your posts are getting prettier and prettier...are you using Nvu or Kompozer? Love how you set this up - and oh, great post about the walking tours. You live in such a great historical part of the country! ;-)
Debe
What an amazing tour that would be. I love charming homes, and you have so much history by you.
Holy crap the music came on as a loud surprise - its midnight and I think I just woke my daughter up - by the sounds of the banging on my ceiling! lol
Debe --- wish that I were close enough to take advantage of this tour. Looks wonderful.
Mama Liz
Getting to walk through a bunch of mansions sounds like a fantastic time! I bet you see some really special stuff.
Hi Teri! Thank you so much! I am still using Nvu as when my computer crashed, I lost my Kompozer--when I downloaded it when all was working again, it wouldn't add photos. That's my issue with Nvu too so, I decided, why change?!
Hi Tom: The history here is SO interesting and I wish I could go on these tours tomorrow. I have two listing appointments and cannot go but, hopefully one of my teammates is still going to make it--I want PICTURES!!
Hi Liz: So sorry about the music--I have NO idea why that is playing! I've turned off the music on my tours and still have it going--I've got to double check them again. They shouldn't come on unless the arrow is pressed by the user! ARRGH!
Mama Liz-- I KNOW you'd enjoy this too! Wish you were here...
Hi Bill! That's just my cup o' tea too! I wish I could go!
Debe,
I love stuff like this. It combines an interest in history and community with a useful activity--walking! Wish I could take the tour.
Mike in Tucson
Hi Mike! Me TOO! I wish I could attend but, I'm hoping to live through the photos my teammates take! Maybe next year!
I love attending those mansion tours.
I've been to the Biltmore (here in NC!) and to the mansions in Newport, Rhode Island and have never been disappointed!
Make sure your partners take lots of pictures so we can see how "the other half" lives!!!
Ah that brings back memories. I use to live in Myers Park. Of course not in one of the houses on tour. We lived on Queens Road near the college. It was nice just seeing all those old homes all the time and I believe that is one thing that attributed to my taste in homes.
Debe You "caught" me on this one - I love old home tours - my husband would have stayed at Panera's Karen
this is a great idea and its good exercise too!
Fun experience for a knock out price and maybe Panera will benefit as well! Hope a good crowd comes.
