Saturday, 10/8, Ballantyne Festival will be held at the Morrison YMCA from 11:00-3:00. The event, much like our urban Midwood Maynia, will include a parade of politicians, a chili cook-off, lots of children’s activities, music and fabulous food! Meet political candidates (from both parties, from local to national levels) as they serve up the chili for those attending the 2011 Ballantyne Festival.

If you’d like to join us, bring your appetite and creativity as we will be sponsoring a children’s table with a fun project to occupy the kids! And we promise to serve up what we believe, is the winning chili recipe also!
Savvy’s resident pastry chef, Ella, will be providing Savvylicious brownies for the event too. We’ll have beverages and lots of balloons and just know that you’re going to have a wonderful time! Won’t you join us?

The 2011 Ballantyne Festival sounds like lots of fun (well maybe without the politics) but chili....and then touring some homes with you!
If only I had the gas money, I'd surprize you. Oh, I just spoiled the surprize.
I'd go just for the brownies -- funny, I just mentioned my jones for brownies only yesterday. What a nice event to sponsor!!
Debe, I just left a comment on a post about Champagne and Chocolate, and now you bring in the chili and brownies. Is it possible to gain weight from just reading about food? It sounds like a great event and I'm a big supporter of YMCAs, where this event is being held. Thanks for sharing and best wishes always.
