The Billy Graham Library & Graham Family Homeplace

The Billy Graham Library & Grtaham Family HomeplaceCharlotte is not only a top relocation destination but, the Queen City is a wonderful travel destination as well. One of the top tourist attractions is The Billy Graham Library & Graham Family Homeplace. Our coveted, long-time evangelist, Billy Graham left a long history in our city and what better way to commemorate his work than to show this lovely venue.

The 40,000 square foot facility takes you through the life and legacy of one of Charlotte’s natives who, to many, signifies good & wholesomeness in the world. The Library is barn-shaped and shares Graham’s journey from humble beginnings to becoming ‘America’s Pastor.’

If you are not aware, Billy Graham counseled every US President, from Harry Truman to George W. Bush. In the library, you will be taken through a multitude of photos, multimedia presentations, interactive kiosks and memorabilia. The Graham boyhood home is also available for touring. At this writing, admission remains free and the hours of operation are 9:30AM - 5PM Monday through Saturday.

Debe he lived a full and influential life.  He touched many with his message and was respected by both those who agreed with him and those who did not.

Hi Debe Maxwell, CRS - That library would be something to place high on the list of things to see in Charlotte.  Happy New Year!

He did, indeed, George Souto - I remember exactly where I was an the approximate area in the bleachers when I first heard him speak. I remember his message to this day.

I don't care what religion you believe; Billy Graham should be respected by all for his commitment to his faith,  Thank you Debe!

Debe

I can remember him well. he was fraught of grey on a sea anger. He was one who almost always found the questions of man and who they are always opposed to those of God. Damn, I may be thinking too much or just to hooked on late night TV before my time. cheers cvc

Morning Debe.

I remember watching him on TV.  The crowds were huge, his message remained the same.

Thanks for this suggestion. Another good reason to visit the Charlotte area.

Hi Debe,
I bet that is a very interesting place to spend some time.  I've always considered my claim to fame was selling and shipping our famous Wenatchee apples to some of the Billy Graham Crusade events.

Yes, I completely agree, Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, CRS - not to mention, having the patience to deal with all of the Presidents!
