Grateful for An Amazing, Mountain-Moving Team

Grateful for An Amazing, Mountain-Moving Team

We should have suggested 10 gratefulness posts this year! I had a difficult time leaving any of the things for which I am grateful, out of my posts! That said, here's my last post for the challenge...Time to meet the team that makes my life complete!

The Maxwell House Group

Just as it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a great team to break through that proverbial glass ceiling!  For me, I hit that ceiling for several years and could not, for the life of me, figure out how I could add more hours in a day - 7 days a week!  As it happens, another agent's assistant and my NINJA coach, both, simultaneously encouraged me to hire an assistant. When I decided to hire one, the other agent's assistant asked if she could be exclusive to me...so she became my first assistant!

Boy, who knew she was exactly what I needed?!  That first assistant has since retired and then came out of retirement to help me for a couple of very busy years (2015 - 2017), until she moved to be near her children at the beach. We all miss her terribly - she shared every bit of passion we all have for animals, seniors and veterans! Into her 80's, she was still pet-sitting for clients - she is one amazing woman!

After hiring my first assistant, I partnered with a showing agent, Scott, who is absolutely amazing!  We have been friends for 25+ years and working together since 2008 - of course, the worst of times turned into the best of times for me with the addition of Scott to the team! Scott has a contractor's background and is my go-to person when I need to find that diamond-in-the-rough or the needle in the haystack. He's a real estate investor and has that knack of being able to instantly tell if a property is going to be a cash-cow or not! OH and when he is working with my clients, they absolutely LOVE him!  He is also the one who gets credit for naming the team - The Maxwell House Group!

My wonderful administrative assistant, Christina, is a former client who was referred to me from her mother, who is also a client of mine. Christina bought a home from me in 2009 and then surprised me by getting her license and immediately began working with me. She has been THE most amazing assistant - EVER!  She plans and caters our client gatherings, works Contract-to-Closings and manages our database, among many other 'hats' she wears!

When I hired my sister-in-law, Elizabeth to work the leads for me, she realized there was more she could do to help. She has since gotten her real estate license so that I can pay her a referral fee. She and Christina own a staging company and together, they are phenomenal! Elizabeth too, is licensed and refers a ton of business; she lives at the lake and has been the source of a good deal of our lake sales during the past several years.

Team at Shredding Event*Pictured:  Scott, Christina, Elizabeth, Frazier Wallace (Our go-to real estate attorney), me & Ray. This was at our shredding event held this spring.

And, not pictured but, certainly a big part of my team, my hubby manages the finances for the team (payroll, bookkeeping, etc.) as well as working the websites - building a page a day for me and posting my listings on a whole host of sites.  He was licensed a couple of years ago so, that he could answer my phone, if needed but, is really not able to do more than an hour or so a few days a week.

We are all licensed and are all brokers - and I could not do without any one of them - they are family and we have a wonderfully cohesive, customer-centric team.  I can go out of town and know that the team has my back, without fail. Most importantly, they afford me the ability to work face-to-face with clients, which is what I do best.  Each and every one of us is committed to providing an exceptional customer experience, before, during the transaction and beyond.

I am ever-so thankful for my team!

Thank you, Endre Barath, Jr.! We've been together a long time and I am asked all of the time if I need new members or why I'm not 'growing my team.' Hey, why ruin a good thing?! It works for us and more importantly, it works for my clients!

We had a delightful Thanksgiving and I hope you, Diane and your fur family did too.

Good morning, Debe Maxwell, CRS that's what I call an "award winning" team.... and we all know success starts at the top....only the top...and that energy, enthusiasm and positive thinking trickles down to the team members....and the result is production.... production leads to success in the marketplace and beyond..... congratulations for all that you do and have accomplished, no matter what the challenges were.... you know how to overcome and succeed.

Debe, you are fortunate to have a team to support you.  I always thought I wanted a team, but never happened.   Now I enjoy being solo!
