Springing Forward - That Hour Makes a Difference

Springing Forward - That Hour Makes a Difference

Today, Sunday, March 8, at 2:00 AM EST, we return to Daylight Saving Time in all states in the US except Arizona & Hawaii. So, clocks spring ahead an hour for more after-work hours of sunshine…meaning more showing hours for those in search of a new home!

The difference an hour makes in Charlotte real estate

  • Every hour in the United States, 568 homes are sold and median home values rise by $1.92. Viewing the local data in Myers Park for a client this weekend, one of the figures that really hits this point home is the 13.8% increase in average sales price average year-over-year. Those who 'thought' about buying last year lost out on 13.8% equity that those who did buy, gained.

  • As you spring forward this year, let's plan to get together to chat about how you can take advantage of each & every hour when it comes to Charlotte real estate. Based on the data in the graphic by KCM (Keeping Current Matters) above, it’s easy to see, it’s time to make a move if you’re thinking about doing so in the next year.

Hi Debe Maxwell, CRS It will take me a few days adjust to the time change.

Morning Debe.

Just pick one and leave it be.  Oh well! I won't see it change in my lifetime.

Hello Debe - ahh, amid all the controversy that exists in the country and the world, we experience yet one more.  Oy vey!

Debe I do not understand why we need to be changing the clock back and forth.  I want my hour back!!!

Hi Debe- what an interesting tie-in to Daylight Saving Time!  My body clock will adjust in two weeks and I am loving that it stays light longer.

That makes all the difference. It could really be forgotten but it can really mess up my appointments if I do.

More sunshine is always good in my opinion! The time change is worth it for that reason alone. :)

Time waits for no one. Life goes on with or without the time change.
